Raisin Bread Pudding
1 1/2 Cups bread cubes
2 Cups heavy cream
1 Cup milk, scalded
2 eggs
1/2 Cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup seedless raisins (may substitute dried cranberries, figs, or other dried fruit)

Soak bread in cream and milk for 30 minutes. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs, gradually adding the sugar. Beat in spices, then add raisins. Combine mixture with the bread mixture. Pour into a large casserole dish and set in a pan of hot water. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 - 50 minutes.
